Is getting a master in [[computer science difficult for someone with no [[computer science background?

If you attend a university to earn a degree in computer science, you will need to have good enough College Preparatory courses and excellent math skills. The degree of difficulty while concentrating and really studying concepts of computer science at a university/college, really depends on your dedication and approach in setting the goal to succeed. If you enjoy it, even better and it will not seem difficult for you at all, even when it actually seems tough to the common student.

Always keep in mind though, computer science is not for everybody. So if it appears difficult, and you are always struggling, you may be better matched for another program for your future career. If you did well enough in high school calculus, then you should do just fine in college. In recent times, the colleges have simplified the math requirements, since long ago.

So you shouldn't be too worried, unless you did really awful and struggled with college prep high school math courses. You will use the math and expound your knowledge while gaining massive understanding of the current and most useful programming languages such as “C”, Visual Basic, Java…etc and other computer theory/applications, in addition to network programming utilized in the most successful corporations of trade and industry today. I propose looking at the core curriculum for computer science at the colleges and/or universities that you have interest attending and read the course descriptions.

Then if you are successful with the bachelors degree and still enjoy the computer science field immensely, by all means move up to a masters degree. Here’s a link I found. It has some videos and tells a great deal about computer science and is one of the best Universities that sponsors the CS program. Best of Success!
